paper, Includes Completely printed date of 1861 form with list of
taxable items on back including “Poll Tax”; “Slaves”; and “Real
Estate”, from the Collector’s Office - Second District; and partially
printed date of 186x with the numeral “1” handwritten in with a sim-
ilar list on the back including “Slaves”. Both are in VF to XF condition
and signed by the State Tax Collector. Scarce Slave related New
Orleans tax documents from pre-Union Occupation. Printed by
