Katherine Hepburn signed letter on personal
letterhead “Katharine Haughton Hepburn” in red print dated 1-15-
1987, VF-XF condition LS. An American actress who won an
Academy Award for her third role, Morning Glory (1933). She fol-
lowed that by a series of commercial failures in which the entertain-
ment industry then labeled her “box office poison”. She was able to
resurrect her career and went on to win an additional three Oscars
for her work in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967), The Lion in
Winter (1968), and On Golden Pond (1981). She passed away in 2003
at the age of 96. ........................................................

who served as consul in Algiers and entered journalism on his return
to New York editing the “National Advertiser”, the “Courier and
Enquirer”, the “Evening Star” and the “Sunday Times”. In 1820 he
tried to create a Jewish homeland on Grand Island in the Niagara
River, nothing ever came of it. ..................................
