China, banknote issued by Deyurong Bank

in Tunwa Village, Guo County, Shanxi province in 1926. Front depicts

a building with clocks on 4 sides. Center shows the denomination of 2

jiao. Top texts are the bank name and address, as well as “every 10 jiao

could be exchanged into a silver dollar”. The texts on the bottom show

the date of 1926, and the printer Dunhua Printing. Back side shows “20

cents” and “The Shang Hui Tan Pao” which means “guaranteed by the

merchants association”. UNC grade.����������������������������������������������Est.

China, rural economy relieving

note of 1 yuan issued in Haiyang County, Shandong province in 1939,

by the rural economy relieving committee. Serial number is H045958.

Front images depict oriental gardens and buildings. Bottom black text is

the issuer, and the left red text is the date. Seals are from the chair and

the manager of the committee. Back shows oriental garden view, with

English text of “Local currency payable to bearer pay not night”. Text

around the edge are “legal tender for all debts” “to relieve rural economy

and assist finance”. The printer name is shown at the very bottom of the

China, private banknote

specimen issued by the Fuxingcheng bank in Qianxiuluo Village, Hejian

County, Hebei province. No serial number or date. The main text in the

center of the front side reads “please pay the bearer 1 string of copper

cash coin at exchanging rate of 96%”. The images around are the famous

“the Eight Immortals”. The back side shows the denomination, and the

text in the center is “follows market price”. The two liners on the edge

mean the currency circulation. Printed by Tianjin (Tientsin) Gongbei

間德元號錢莊票一元1937年

China, banknote issued by Deyuanhao

Bank in Shucheng Town, Hejian County, Hebei province, with a date

of 1937 and a serial number of 000776. The center shows a picture of

a temple, with denominations on both sides. Text on edges read “could

be exchanged into 1 Yuan of national currency”. The two red seals are

of the bank and the manager. Bottom of the front indicated the printer

is from Tianjin. The back shows a picture of oriental garden, with

denominations and text saying “not responsible for lost notes”. UNC

China, specimen or remainder

of a private banknote issued by Huaidetang Bank in Shanghewan, Jilin

province. No serial number or date. The center text reads “Please pay the

bearer 5 strings of cash coin”, and the text on the left of the main panel

is “newly changed printing plate; no payment at night”. The small texts

around the main panel are many famous ancient Chinese poems. Images

on the back side are oriental gardens and buildings, and the text in the

center of the back is a popular ancient story, and the printer YongHeng

China, banknote issued by Yuchenghao

Bank in South Village, Jimo County, Shandong province, with a serial

number of 2701. The main picture on the front is a building, with text on

both sides reading “loose change could not be exchanged” and “printed

in 1940”. The two seals on the bottom are “seal of the manager” and

“check carefully”. The back side is more or less the same as the front

side, with an explanation of “every 10 notes could be exchanged into 5

silver dollars”. AU grade. ����������������������������������������������������������������Est.
