Black print with black ornate border, Purple cancellation stamps,
VF-XF condition. Signed by the 10th Governor of Louisiana Edward
White Sr. and the Secretary of State. Edward Douglass White, Sr.
(March 3, 1795 – April 18, 1847) was the tenth Governor of Louisiana
and a member of the United States House of Representatives. He
served five nonconsecutive terms in Congress as an adherent of
Henry Clay of Kentucky and the Whig Party. White’s father, James
White, was a delegate to the Continental Congress. ������������Est.

certificate from a short-lived bank. The circulation from this bank
appears to have been nearly all redeemed. This certificate was
auctioned in 1991 by Smythe and in 2011 by Stacks, this is the only
