Unmarked and uncancelled specimen trial color scrip notes lot of 3.
All with same design and printed in black, but on either pink, blue or
off white paper, Locomotive vignette on lower left. Text on face
states “This Ticket Good For Twenty Five Cents”. Back has text that
states that ticket is good for meals and lodgings with company.
Perforated vertically and imperforate horizontally. Uncirculated
condition but the off white note has a small amount of toning.
Printed by St.Louis BNC which was acquired by Western BNC in the
early 1880’s. Rare railroad scrip note.

G8), Native American “Progress” Vignette on lower left, young
woman on lower right with Battle of Bunker Hill in middle, Proof
printed in black with no underprints, back blank, printed on white
planchetted paper with a portion of the upper note on top with large
margins on the other 3 sides, Uncirculated to CU condition. Bald
Cousland & Co. Scarce modern proprietary proof with notation “Int’l
Silver” in pencil on top margin evidently referring to the ABN pro<
gram where there would be a replica silver banknote with a reprint
proof of the banknote to accompany it. This is not the paper it was
printed on for the program and is rare in this format.
