knote for this Early Connecticut Bank<Note Engraver, Die<sinker &
Printer. Mounted on white card with a small repair on the top left
margin, Denomination counters for $1 and $10 with seated allegor<
ical women and child, eagle, cornucopia, plow, ship and books. AU
condition with light toning and a fold on the top margin edge, oth<
erwise rare and very attractive.

Unlisted Series), Black on india paper, Native American aiming bow
at top left, early locomotive pulling passenger cars in middle and
statue of George Washington at top right, small horse at bottom,
“Will pay …….on demand at the Bank of New York”. Signature block
have ink lines through them, Uncirculated with very light foxing.

Jeffersonville, Indiana. Lot of 2 notes (uncut sheet of 2), 1858
(ca.1960<70’s), $1<2, (IN<280<G2a; G4a), Modern “Proprietary
Proofs”. The $1 proof has woman holding flowers on left and seated
allegorical woman with ships in middle; the $2 note has fat eagle or
hawk on right, horse drawn wagon on left and milkmaid with child,
young man and cows in middle. Black printing without underprint,
printed on thin white card, Choice to Gem Uncirculated condition.

70’s), $50<100, (IN<2<G296a (proof only issue); G298a (SENC).
Modern “Proprietary Proofs”. The $50 proof has portraits of men on
lower left and middle and 3 men together on right; the $100 note
has portraits of distinguished men on left and right with quartet of
male and female reapers in middle. Notches on all 3 margins for
printing registration. Black printing with full orange<red underprint,
printed on thin white card, Choice to Gem Uncirculated condition.
