3 items, Includes an instrument of protest issued in New Orleans,
Louisiana, signed and notarized by P. Bienvenu, Walter H. Peters,
Notary Public, along with an embossed seal and 5c adhesive rev<
enue stamp. Printed on blue paper and measuring 16.7” x 10”. Also
included are a pair of 1st and 2nd Exchange bills, each with a 2c rev<
enue stamp. The first of the exchange bills is attached to the instru<
ment of protest and carries a hand stamp reading “Protested for
non<accountance” along with the date and notary name. Both were
signed and issued in San Francisco. VF condition. Rare California
exchanges along with New Orleans document.
