banknote, Black on light brown paper, whalers harpooning whale with

coins on left and right, Good condition with ragged left and bottom

margins with small pieces missing, otherwise attractive and rare note.

of 2 notes. Buffalo, New York. Includes 1912, Buffalo Clearing House

Association, $5000, P-Unlisted, Issued and pin punch cancelled note,

Serial #A463, Small format, black on light yellow underprint, back blank

but with paper remnant on the right margin where it was pasted into file

or record book, Fine+ condition with black wear marks on upper right

corner. Also included is an 189? dated note, The Bankers Association of

Buffalo, $5000, Issued and pin punch cancelled with “1899” date. Black

on light orange underprint, serial # 89. VG condition with black wear

marks on upper right corner. Scarce pair of $5000 Buffalo notes, the first

25cts-25cts-10cts (10 examples). The 50 cent notes have seated allegorical

Plenty with cornucopia; the 25 cent notes have allegorical women and

eagle with New York arms; and the 10 cent notes have 2 men with

drummer, all with no signatures or serial numbers, condition ranges

from VF with small faults including small hole to AU, a few exhibit

toning and light folds still attractive and rare sheet. Printed by Lewis &
