36mm black and white Proof by National Bank Note Company,

N.Y., on India paper mounted on a 6” x 3 ¼” envelope. Notations on

the envelope state “Georgia/small,” “U.S.,” and “NAT,” confirming that

this is the vignette that appears on the backs of Original Series Georgia

National Bank Notes. The top of the envelope is rough, but the vignette

is as made. Rare, and a wonderful opportunity for the advanced collector
