WORLD BANKNOTES
China - Empire
We are proud to offer the second section of Chinese and Asian banknotes from the
Alexander I. Progrebetsky Family Archives of Rare Russian and Chinese banknotes. The
notes in this collection have been held closely by the family since the early 1950’s when
Alexander passed away and only recently were released by the family. Additionally,
we are offering the “Shanghai Banker’s Collection” which was obtained in 1948 by
an American missionary living in Shanghai, China from a Chinese banker friend, This
collection includes many notes rarely seen in any form or condition with many rare
varieties. Both of these collections offer amazing notes that are rarely seen in any
advanced collection in any condition and may offer the collector the only chance in the
forseeable future to obtain one of these rarities.
