Specimen banknote, dark blue on m/c, sailing ships and harbor
scenes on left and right, S/N < 97D00000, Pin<punch CANCELLED,
archival notations on top margin, Staple holes on left margin,
Choice AU but the note looks Uncirculated to almost CU condition.
Scarce late date specimen, TDLR.

Unlisted Specimen banknote, bright red on m/c, sailing ships and
harbor scenes on left and right, S/N < 25C 00000, Pin<punch CAN<
CELLED with hand stamp small SPECIMEN on bottom right margin,
archival notations on top margin, Light stains from previous mount<
ing on left margin otherwise the note looks Uncirculated. Scarce
specimen. TDLR.

971 Ottoman Empire 1861 Issued Note Quartet
Turkey, AH 1277
(1861), group of 4 notes, two are 100 Kurush, P<41 Issued banknotes,
possibly a color variation, listed with gray underprint, these notes
have brownish<red underprint with dark brown printing, The notes
grade Fine with edge faults, small edge splits and toning for one and
the second would have graded a nice VF to XF but there is a 1.2 inch
piece of margin missing that does not touch the design. The other
two are 20 Kurush, P<36 Issued banknotes, black on gold underprint,
One would grade XF with rounded corner and a small 1/3rd inch tear
on the upper right side, the second would grade Fine with edge
faults but there is a 1 inch piece of margin missing that does not
touch the design on the right middle. Still scarce early group of
Turkey banknotes.

Livres, P<110x, 2eme emission, thought to be a British military coun<
terfeit paper without watermark. Small “10”s in the denomination in
left border on back facing out instead of in. Choice VF apart from
stained paper. Scarce.

of 1942;47 ABN Issues.
Turkey, ND (ca,1942<47). Proof vignette of
goats used on the back of the ABNC 1942<47 printed Issue, 50 Lira,
P<142; P<142a and P<143. Printed in black on india paper mounted to
large card. Bottom has “Bank of Turkey“ (ca.1960’s) imprint though
ABNC only printed notes for the “Central Bank of Turkey” so this
proof was possibly for an unissued ABN issue. 9 by 6 inches.
Uncirculated condition with light foxing spots. Rare production
vignette proof from ABNC archives.
