U.S. Colonial Coins
THE SOMERSET COLLECTION - What if you had the opportunity
to go back in time and witness daily life and commerce in
America? How many years would you go back? Fifty? One
hundred? How about over two hundred years? Assuming that
you were able to return back safely to 2013, what would
your pockets contain? Well, a consigner recently brought to
our attention and your collecting pleasure, a grouping of
coins and Encased postage stamps that were lovingly put
away by his family on a contemporary basis since the late
18th century, as if assembling items for a time capsule.
These artifacts as you will see, range from Colonial Coppers
and “Early Dollars”, Encased Postage Stamps and Indian and
Lincoln cents. This is a rare opportunity to acquire fresh
estate coins and encased postage that have never been
offered to the collecting community previously.
