China. Lot of 2 sequential banknotes. A
private note issued by the Huitong Company in Jianyang County, Fujian
Province. The face depicts an oriental garden with water features and a
pavilion. Serial number is 25800. Texts around the edge are “unnamed”,
“pay the bearer at any time” and “could be exchanged into silver coins”.
Uncirculated, The seals are of the company. The back side shows English
name of the company
. 福建建陽惠通公司所發行之紙幣壹圓。
流水號25800.
正面為中式園林圖景，四周文字為“認票不認
人”“隨時可兌現”“憑票兌付通用銀元”。 背面有英語公司

Shanxi. No date. Top texts are “Shanxi Jinxing Opera Troupe” and “long
term ticket”. Texts below are the address, show time, price of the ticket
(80 cents) and regulations. Seals are from the manager. Black writings
on top is a record of sending this ticket as a gift.

之長期紅票，無日期。票面顯示地址、演出時間、票價大洋八
角，及注意事項。票面有紅色晉興劇社印章，上方黑色文字為

151 Xiangjugong Bank 3 jiao banknote, 1929.祥聚公銀號1929年三角
Chowchun, China. A private banknote issued by the Xiangjugong (Hsian
Shu Kun) bank in Zhoucun (Chowchun) with a rare denomination of 3
jiao. No other information about the location available. The face depicts
scenery of a park, which might be the White Pagoda of North Sea Park
in Beijing. The serial number is 00918. Text below the picture says “ten
of such notes could be exchanged into 3 yuan of national currency. No
exchanging for loose notes”. Text at the bottom shows the issuing year
of 1929. The two red seals are of the managers. The back side shows
bank name and address in English, and a picture of the Front Gate in
Beijing.
周村祥聚公銀號於1929年印行之三角紙幣。無更多地
點信息。流水號為00918.正面圖景為北海公園白塔。下方文字
