443 “The Old Bookstore” - The Old Book Man, ca.1870-90 Advertising Broadside Printed on Back of Confederate Stamp Reprints.Atlanta, Georgia. ND (ca.1870-90), Broadside approximately 8 inches
by 11 inches with portrait of the Old Book Man “The Napoleon of the
Book Trade South”, text on the sheet states “The ad is printed on the
back of a sheet of stamps reprinted from the original plates captured
at the fall of Atlanta on Confederate made paper”, The face also lists
Confederate banknotes for sale including a complete set of 1864 notes
from 50 cents to $500 for $2, the back has a sheet of 35 stamps (10 x 7
stamps) in grey of Confederate States, 10 Cents unissued value similar
to the 5 cents, Scott# 6. Reprinted in various colors. Fine condition with
chipped margins, folds, reinforced tears and splits, still attractive and
