337 Russian Government, ND (1917-1918) Proof Bond Top.Russia,
ND (ca.1917-18). Proof printed in black on india paper, Allegorical
vignette of “Liberty with Cap” in middle flanked by allegorical young
women. This proof was designed for a bond “Russian Government,
5 Year, 5 1/2% Second Series Bond”. Plate # C-3548” on top. This
was an archival proof from the production file and shows evidence
of cut outs from the right side, otherwise the proof looks AU to Unc.
but there is a staple on the lower left corner. Scarce Russian fiscal
