1st Mortgage 7% Coupon Bond. Horizontal format, Black with red
“500” undertint. U.S. Capital in middle, upper right Locomotive
being boarded and upper left with stately manor, bottom with
river or harbor view, Good to VG condition due to faults, tears,
taped reinforcement from back at vertical folds and small chips
out of the top margin and a few small holes near the bottom, 40
coupons attached, POC’s, “00000” serial numbers and POC’s. ABNC.
Spectacular unique bond from ABNC archives. Rarely do you find
specimen railroad bonds from the Civil War time period. Though
there are condition issues, this impressive certificate survived over
150 years relatively intact and would be the centerpiece of any
