A comprehensive

collection that contains some very desirable pieces. Two examples

of the HK491 So-Called Dollar in silver, four Czechoslovakia protest

medals, a trial strike of the reverse of the official medal in bronze,

two Choice to GemWashington Inauguration gilt medals, a dozen

World’s Fair spoons, and much more. This lot should be carefully

Every-

thing from a Shell’s Mr. President Game token collection to a scarce

1850’s Bollen Hagen City Hall store token. Coca Cola Flags of Free-

dom pins, a box of assorted wooden nickels, an interesting assort-

ment of shooting badges, Mardi Gras tokens, encased cents and

1397 A Large Group of Mostly Modern Non-Silver Medals & Tokens

Categories include Olympics, Gambling, Mardi Gras, Transporta-

ing of “Good Luck” pennies, Good Fors, some perhaps questionable

“pleasure” tokens, parking tokens, amusement tokens, transpor-

1400 American Legion, Baseball, Space, and other Medals.

This wide

assortment of mostly small to medium format non-silver medals

and pins includes a nice selection of American Legion delegate rib-

bons from the 1920’s through 1940. Presidential and famous Amer-

ican medals predominate, but there are some other nice subjects

(Babe Ruth, space, Washington’s victory at Princeton, etc.). [150+

1401 Another Nice Grouping of Mostly Modern Large Bronze Medals

Larger format (3” on average) medal, some bronze, some copper.

Some Presidential, a few space-related, 1984 Dolphin calendar, a

souvenir penny from the Panama California Exposition of San Di-

ego 1915, a beautiful oval medal commemorating the opening of

the Verrazano Bridge, Thomas G. Masaryk 1935, and many others.

lated, just a few light rim scrapes. 2) 1881Thothmes III Obelisk Med-

al. 42mm.Obelisk, eagle and shield, NYC arms on the obverse. PRE-

SENTED TO THE UNITED STATES BY ISMAIL KHEDIVE OF EGYPT

1881, reverse. Choice brown Uncirculated. 3) 1905 39th National

Encampment G.A.R. Medal. 70mm. Rim 5mm. Pike’s Peak railroad

on the obverse. Almost Uncirculated. Red and brown. 4) 1898 Peace

Jubilee Medal. 35mm. Angel and cherub, obverse. Flag surround-

ed by LET US HAVE PEACE, reverse. Choice brown Uncirculated. 5)

1871 Rebuilding of Chicago Medal. 50mm. The Angel of Destruction

flies over the burning court house, obverse. MADE FROMTHE CHI-

CAGO COURT HOUSE BELL / SEMPER RESURGENS, and Phoenix
