2075 Pogrebetsky Plate Note from his Historic 1929 Banknote Book.China, 1914, Bank of China, 1914 “Manchuria” Branch Issue Rarity.
20 cents, P-36c, S/M#C294-60, Issued banknote, Black on light green
underprint with Great Wall at center, back orange, VG condition but
there are two small areas of ink loss on the left and right of the face
that has not effected the paper, as well as 4 small pin holes on the upper
right. There is a 1/2 by 1 inch piece missing from the top right corner.
Includes the original page from his book picturing the note in this lot.
This is the Plate note from Pogrebetsky’s personal reference collection
and it is photographed in his rare Chinese banknote book published
in Harbin in 1929. A unique and historic reference item that is sure to

The following 11 lots are historic pages from the Alexander I. Pogrebetsky reference collection including some of the
pages with matching plate notes used by Pogrebetsky for his 1929 Chinese banknote book. This was a portion of his
book that included plate notes from his reference collection. This is an extremely rare book that has come from the
family who may have an intact copy without the notes in their archives. All of these pages are unique and as received
