with “Betaalt Aan Toonder te Betalen....”. Star cancel, No “00000”
serial numbers. Archival notation on lower left border with S/N
3726, The Note is one light corner fold away from Choice to Gem
Uncirculated. Unpriced in SCWPM. J.H.Bussy, Amsterdam,

959 Banco De Espana Correspondence to ABNC Regarding
Banknote Production Offers.
Letter with English translation.
Madrid, Spain. April 18th, 1890. One page letter on Banco De
Espana letterhead with blue ABNC receiving hand stamp. Letter is
written in Spanish with translation written on second sheet of
attached paper. Signed by Governor, Salvador H.Albacete. The let<
ter thanks mentions a telegram for ABNC offering banknote print<
ing services to Banco De Espana due to reports of widespread coun<
terfeiting of a previous non<ABNC printed series of notes. The
Governor thanks them, but says the reports are over exaggerated
and they will not need any additional banknotes and thanks them
for the offer. Rare internal correspondence between ABNC and
Banco De Espana. ABNC.
