both with similar advertising on the back from Connecticut. Both have
the ad from Chas. R. Coan, Books. New Haven, CT, on back of Southern
Bank of Georgia notes, bank notes with fully printed back advertising
Stationery, School books, slates, bags & straps, lunch boxes. Formerly
mounted now with thin paper areas on advertising side corners. Paper

465 Marine Bank of Chicago Proprietary Proof Sheet.Waterloo, Illinois,
Uncut sheet of 4 notes, ND (originally printed ca. 1850-60’s, these were
reprinted by ABNC from the original plates ca.1960-70’s), $5-$2-$1-$1,
(IL-165-G10a; G6a; G2a; G2a), All are SENC in Haxby, Unlisted with
only American Bank Note Company imprints, Haxby lists notes as TCC
with ABNC monograms, these notes do not have TCC or monogram,
only American Bank Note Company imprints, Modern “Proprietary
Proof Sheet”, The $1 note has sailor with flag sitting on barrel and bales
on left, sailing ships at dock with men rowing row boat on top center and
state seal on LR; The $2 note has sailor and woman with flag on left,
sailing ship in full sail on top center and state seal on LR; The $5 note
has 3 allegorical women on left and impressive steamboat and sailing
ships on top center and state seal on LR, Black printing without border
and underprint printed on thin white card, Uncirculated condition with
wavy paper. Au to Uncirculated. ABNC. Rare as uncut sheet. (ABN

from Frary’s Music Store, W. Winsted Ct. 1869. CSA 50 Cents, 1863 with
Dr. Morse’s Indian Root Pills ad typed on back. Quite the mix. Fair to

467 Pioneer Association Uncut Sheet of 4 Proprietary Proofs.La
Fayette, Indiana. Lot of 4 notes (uncut sheet of 4), 18xx (ca.1970’s), $1-
2-5-5, Modern “Proprietary Proofs”. Unlisted in Haxby. The $1 proof
has a standing allegorical woman on left with scenic view on top and
men moving logs on lower right; the $2 note has horses pulling wagon
in middle, Jefferson on right and woman on left; the $5 notes have cattle
on left and men with hay on right. Notches on all 4 margins for printing
registration. Black printing on red underprint printed on thin white card,
Uncirculated condition. BC&C. Archival “Proprietary” proofs rarely
