On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally
welcome you to our 32nd auction we have held over the last nine years. We are privileged
to offer another exciting selection of U.S., Chinese, Russian & Worldwide Banknotes,
Scripophily, Coins and Security Printing Ephemera. There will be items of interest for every
level of collector, specialist or dealer.
We are presenting the first selections from the Silicon Valley Collection of Worldwide
Banknotes that was put together by an astute collector from the mid 1960’s until the late
1980’s with a majority of these notes having never been offered at auction previously.
We will also be offering additional rarities from the Alexander I. Pogrebetsky Family
Archives of rare Chinese and Russian banknotes.
The auction will be presented in three sessions scheduled over three days beginning with
Session 1’s offering on April 11th of U.S. & Worldwide Banknotes, Scripophily and
Security Printing Ephemera followed by a Live Internet only sale. Session 2 on April 12th
will include Russian and Worldwide Banknotes, Chinese Scripophily and Coins.
They will be followed by Session 3 on April 13th of over 400 lots of Chinese Banknotes with
many srarities and amazing notes offered that are rarely seen at auction.
We are currently working on our summer auctions including the sale of the
American Bank Note Commemoratives Inventory of Modern Souvenir cards, advertising
pieces, reprint obsolete and Hawaiian banknotes and production material scheduled
tentatively for the end of June to beginning of July 2016. We will also be offering additional
selections from the Silicon Valley Collection of worldwide banknotes.
If you have suitable material, we are still seeking consignments for our upcoming
