These vignettes would be printed horizontally as an underprint security element. Printed by one of the ABN predecessor companies, all are printed on india paper that is unmounted. Handwritten letter addressed to Titus Eddy Esq regarding a “note for six hundred dollars ($600)” Signed as Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson. VF to XF condition with light signs of age. Interesting security printer letter. Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson (RWH&E) was one of the most prominent printing and engraving firms in nineteenth-century America.
