DuraNote Polymer Test-Advertising Note Collection with 14 Different Security Devices, ca.1980-1990s. U.S. & Canada, ND (ca.1980s-90s). Lot of 14 DuraNote Test Notes, with different security features. All are red on green and m/c underprint with oil rig at center. Security features at right includes globes, clear window, no clear window, small clear rectangle, zig zags, brown window, maple leaf, stag, snowflake, and more. The notes were part of a project from Mobil Oil for testing petroleum based hydrocarbon polymer paper for printing banknotes. The project was terminated once they merged with Exxon.
