1883 reprint banknote, black and light brown on pink paper with goat

in middle. Payable at the Government Store in Harper, Maryland in

Liberia. Crisp XF with 4 light vertical folds, otherwise a pristine note.

The Maryland State Colonization Society was responsible for founding

the Republic of Maryland in West Africa, a short lived independent state

that in 1857 was annexed by Liberia. �������������������������������������������Est.
