S/N 1906, coupons attached. Extremely rare imprinted revenue.

Virginia. April 1, 1870, $1000 Spec-
imen 8% Mortgage Loan of $175,000, Coupon bond, Black with
“1000” red protector in middle, Horizontal format with coupons on
bottom, Allegorical women on left and right, Locomotive No.13,
L-R, Specimen overprints, POC’s, with attached sheet of 33 cou-
pons, all with Specimen overprints and an additional sheet of 28
coupons with POC’s but no overprints. The bond is in Fine condi-
tion with minor edge split reinforcement but has the usual archival
storage wear and folds, Unique inABN archives. Unlisted early date
of 1870 in Cox which lists 1890 as the first date. This was the only
example found of this early date.������������������������������������ Est.
