porary Loan of 1862 Hessler X134 F, United States Treasury, Assistant Treasurer of the United States at Philadelphia, Gold Coin Certificate. A newly
discovered uncut pair (the original and duplicate) of “Pro Patria”, listed on page 234 of Gene Hessler’s book: “An Illustrated History of U.S. Loans
1775-1898” . Rare Gold Coin Certificate. This was a certificate for depositing gold coin for at least thirty days and receiving the principal plus inter-
est when this certificate was surrendered. The amount of gold coin deposited would be hand-written in and these were a multiple part form. This
pair of both the original and duplicate, grades Very Fine Plus with bit of toning on the ledger section as shown, a few tiny pin holes and minor edge

entitled “An Act in addition to certain Acts granting Bounty Land to Certain Officers and Soldiers who have been engaged in Military Service of the
United States”. Issued and Uncancelled, Jefferson Davis Portrait on left as Secretary ofWar, GeneralWinfield Scott on right with Soldiers on horseback
with men behind them and destruction in front of them, Allegorical male reaper on lower right and Indian trying to kill woman and child being rescued
by outdoorsman, red underprint of Cannon, drums, patriotic shield, flags and “80Acres” in middle. Cert.#48991. Issued to Catherine Hinton, widow of
William Hinton, Private, Captains Pitzer and Johnson’s Companies, Virginia Militia, War of 1812. Toning on left margin, a small piece missing from the
lower left corner far from design and a small piece out of the top middle excess margin not touching design. Attractive and rare War of 1812 Bounty
