Trial Color Essay Banknote Pair. 50 Centavos. Unique uniface front
and back essay proofs of either Maria Cristina Hydroelectric Plant
(front) or Fertilizer Plant (back). Large margin on top with color
bars. Micro printing on top margin “2-20-53 Revised 3-20-53” and
“Cero-2637A”. Front has dark green border with light green and red
undertint with green seal on right, the back has dark green border
with lighter green vignette. Uncirculated to Choice condition with
light toning on left margin. SBNC. Unique banknote .

front film negative for essay banknote that was never adopted. The
film was used in the production process for photo-etching and
engraving. It is the same size as the final proof. Micro printing on top
margin: “12-7-53 and 20F-BN25620A”. Unique in archive.

100 x 46 mm. Purple border with light yellow undertint on face and
light green undertint on back. Face has a red overprint on upper top
margin with date 4-28-54 and “CERO-2824 10F-2” and back has
date 4-28-54 and “CERO-2824 10B-2”. Both pieces in Uncirculated
