A local temporary currency issued by Linqing County, Shandong Province in 1938. Interestingly the main images of the front side (cattle and donkey) are copied from the back sides of The Farmers Bank of China 5 and 10 yuan 1935, and the biggest “1 yuan” denomination is copied from 1 yuan 1935 of the same bank. The serial number is 0235498. The two seals are from “farmer representative” and “manager assistant”, which are uncommon. The texts on the sides mean “good for all debts”. The back side shows regulations indicating that this is a temporary measure for the shortage of official currency. The bottom side also shows the printer’s name. 山東省臨清縣於 民國二十七年（1938）發行之農民流通券壹圓。此券有趣之處在於，其正面 牛與驢子圖案來自於中國農民銀行民國二十四年之五元與十元券背面圖案， 而“壹圓”字樣來自於中國農民銀行民國二十四年壹圓券。此外，正面兩方 印章分別為“農民代表之章”與“經理助理之章”，甚為少見。背面為發行 須知與注意事項，稱發行原因為縣內財政困難，法幣缺乏。 ������������������������ Est. $50-85 165 165 Pingdu County 6th District Farmers Cooperation, 1942, 1 yuan. 民國三十一年（1942）山東平度六區產銷聯合社壹圓 Shandong Province, China. A local currency of 1 yuan issued by the Communist government in 6th District of Pingdu County, Shandong Province in 1942. The main image on the front side is a countryside view. The serial number is 010310 and the red imprint on the bottom is the name of Shuangmiao Town. Seals are of the managers. The back side shows instructions, date and a seal of the Farmers Cooperation. 民國三十一年 （1942）山東平度六區（應為共產黨控制下政權）產銷聯合社發行之流通券 壹圓。正面主景為鄉村圖，流水號010310，下方有加蓋雙廟鄉，及主任、副 主任章。背面有發行說明、聯合社章，及年號。 ��������������������������������������������� Est. $50-85 166 166 Shandong Province Guangrao County 1930 Guangshenghao Bank, 2 jiao Error PrintingWith The back printed on the Face. 民 國十九年（1930）山東廣饒縣廣盛號貳角 Shandong Province, China. Printing error banknote. A private 2 jiao banknote issued by Guangshenghao Bank in Guangrao County, Shandong Province in 1930. The front side also has a layer of the back side printing. The main picture on the front side is a pavilion, with bank name, date and denomination around. Back side shows denomination as well as texts of “every 10 jiao could be exchanged into 1 yuan” and “be careful of fakes”. 山東廣饒縣廣盛號於1930 年發行之貳角。正面同樣有一層背面圖案。正面主景為亭子，四周有面值、 年號及銀行名。背面有面值，及“每十角兌洋壹圓”“留神細看謹防假冒” 。 ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Est. $70-120 167 167 Yidu County Deheyong Bank, 1931, 3 jiao Private banknote with Coin Vignette. 民國二十年（1931）山東益都縣德和永錢莊叁角 紙幣 Shandong Province, China. A local currency issued by the private Deheyong Bank in Yidu County, Shandong Province in 1931. The main image on the front side is a pagoda, with denomination of 3 jiao, manager seals and address printed around. The serial number is 707. The back side shows images of 3-jiao silver coins in the center, with denomination in Chinese, and texts of “every 10 jiao could be exchanged into 1 yuan” and “no payment in the evening or after leaving the counter”. 山東省益都縣德和永錢 莊於民國二十年（1931）發行之錢莊票三角。正面中心為寶塔圖，四周有面 值、地址、經理章。流水號為707.背面有叁角銀幣圖案及中文面值，另有文 字“每十角兌洋壹圓”及“燈下不付離柜不付”。 ���������������������������������������� Est. $35-60 168 168 Zhaoyuan County Zengxinghe Bank, 1926, 2 strings banknote. 民國十五年（1926）招遠增興和錢莊票貳吊 Shandong Province, China. A local banknote issued by a private bank Zengxinghe in Zhaoyuan County, Shandong Province in 1926. Delicately printed. The main images on the front side are oriental pavilions. The denomination is shown in the center, and the serial number is block “He” number 0150. The text on the left side shows the date, and the texts on the bottom are “no payment in the evening” and the name of the printer. The hand-written text on top is “every 50 strings could be exchanged to 5 yuan”. The back side shows an oriental garden, with text on top describes the address of the bank, and text on the bottom saying “unnamed note”. 山東省招遠縣增興和錢莊於民國十五年（1926） 發行之貳吊錢莊票，印刷精美。正面正中為面值，兩側為亭台圖。流水號為 和字第0150號，下方有“燈下不付”字樣，及印刷廠名。票面頂部手寫有“ 每伍拾吊兌國幣五元”。背面為園林圖，上方為詳細地址，下方有“認票不 認人”字樣。 ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ Est. $55-90 169 169 Guangdong Bank Guangzhou Branch debt clearing certificate 10 Yuan 1935. 商辦廣東銀行廣州分行清理債券十元1935年 China, 10 Yuan debt clearing certificate note issued by the Guangzhou branch of Guangdong Bank in 1935, with a serial number of C045290. The two signatures in the center are of the manager and vice manager. A red seal and black ink writings are present near the left edge. A steel seal chop is seen in the circle on the left side of the note. Printed by Shanghai Printing Co. in Guangzhou. Descriptions on the back are regulations and rules for issuing this certificate.
