766 Juniata Bank of Pennsylvania, 1815 Uncut Sheet of 4 proof Notes.

Lewiston, PA., Uncut proof sheet of 4 notes, 6 1/4cts -12 1/2cts -

25cts - 50cts, Black on white india paper mounted on thin white card,

no vignette, denomination counterfoils on left and right, with oval

denomination counters on top flanking bank location and date, there is

a small stain, possibly from glue on the left counterfoil of the 6 1/4cts,

the other 3 notes are in Uncirculated to CU condition. Rare note in any

condition and extremely early proof note sheet. ���������������������Est.

768 Merchants’ Association of Martinsburg, 1838 Issued Obsolete Banknote.

Martinsburg, PA. 6 1/4 cents, H-222-2, Issued, black with

allegorical reaper in top middle and allegorical woman at left, ship at

right, VG with a small hole in middle and in a number of small areas due

to ink burn. Scarce note in any condition. The back has hand written text

“ Damn old Joe returns the one for Porter - Bring out your champion -

you (Claim?) old Dutch(Hog?) porter Delegates”. I have no idea what it

refers to, but it is interesting. ���������������������������������������������������������Est.
