Pence, 1776 Obsolete banknote, repaired and mounted on paper to keep

it intact. ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������Est.

New Hampshire, 1775, 40 Shillings, P-S1616, Issued, Black

with ornate borders, S/N 612, blank back. Choice XF-AU with two small

2mm tears in the lower left border and a light vertical fold in the middle,

otherwise large margins and very scarce in this high of condition.

Signed by Sam Hobart and N. Gilman. Very possibly a contemporary

counterfeit, but printed in the same shop as the authentic notes. ����� Est.

Burlington on paper watermarked NEW JERSEY. SN. 12828������Est.
