3 by 4 inches, seated allegorical Liberty in middle, VF; 1875 stamped

envelope addressed to American Bank Note Co., with notation on top

“Extract from minutes of meeting of Trustees, July 21, 1875, VF; and

American Bank Note Co. embossed postal stationary in red with portrait

in middle and postal cancellation, this was a sample or specimen of the

types of postal stationary ABNC can produce. Scarce group.������Est.

diploma.

Pennsylvania. An ABNC Specimen diploma with six vignettes

at sides and central vignettes of Governor Bradford and other settlers

identified beneath a trophy of flags and the obverse and reverse of a

Massachusetts 1652 Shilling. The lower vignette shows the Siege of

Louisburg. Slight tone at the right end not affecting the intaglio area.
