Washington, D.C., This lot contains (2) Rare U.S. Treasury 3% Loan

Checks of the Loan of 1898 and 1908. Includes November 1, 1901, Three

Per Cent Loan of 1898, 15 cents, issued and uncancelled, Black on light

green underprint, Ornate counterfoil on left, Ellis H. Robert facsimile

Signature as Treasurer of the U.S., Uncirculated; and August 1, 1908,

3% Loan of 1908-1918, Issued and Uncancelled, Black on light green

underprint Lincoln Portrait at left, These checks represent a different

series of quarterly checks issued to the holder E.J. Malone for interest

payments on a $20 U.S. Registered Treasury Bond. ��������������������Est.

Un-redeemed U.S. Treasury Bearer bond

issued just prior to their discontinuance in the Mid 1980’s. This bond has

a face and redemption value of $1,000.00. The bond was called (5) years

prior to the final redemption date, 30 years from issue. The remaining

coupons hold collector value only and may not be redeemed for cash.

None the less the bond may be redeemed for its full face value at any

time at any Federal Reserve Branch, features President Abraham Lincoln

on the obverse with a lime green under-print with the American Bald

Eagle and mid 1970’s rendition of the Treasury seal in bright red. The

reverse in forest green. Bond grades AU with a trimming into the body

of the bond on the left from coupons that were redeemed. This would

be lovely framed and displayed. ������������������������������������������������Est.

paper. All are cancelled. All were issued in various states and cancelled in

Louisiana. All are in AU to Uncirculated condition. From a new find of
