678 Lincoln’s Portrait over 1864 Micro-Engraved Proclamation of EmancipationProof.

NewYork, 1864, the design is 2.75 x 3.75 inches,

intaglio engraved and printed in black on larger white card that is 5 x

5.75 inches, Lincoln’s portrait is on top. Amazingly small and detailed

engraving, Micro printing at bottom lists “Entered According to an

Act of Congress...1864...” for the registration of the engraving, (Not

the Proclamation which was written in 1863). Amazing Lincoln

collateral as well as Security Printing taken to its ultimate skill level in

this artistic and amazing item. No printer’s imprint but only a name

and address to identify this item “Mr. Lee, 609 Broadway (NY)”. This

is the first time seen by the cataloger and will be an outstanding item

for the Lincoln collector.����������������������������������������������������Est.

signs.

ABNC sign is brown-black and 5-1/2x 2-1/4. The Crane &

Co. sign is 12-1/2 x 5-3/4 with views of the Pioneer Mill and the

Government Mill buildings at bottom center. Light edge chipping on
