Iowa, 1898.

$5000. Registered 1st Mortgage 3-1/2%Gold Bond. Slate-blue bor-

der. Train L-R in middle flanked by two large allegorical figures in

robes. Red specimen overprints, POC’s and “”00000”” serial num-

bers. No coupons attached. XF condition. Only known as Specimen

Certificate.

Iowa. 1874. 100 Shs, Issued and uncancelled, Locomo-

tive speeding by miners left to right in middle and patriotic Liberty

vignette on the lower left. Black border and vignette. XF condition.

Possibly unique issued. Signed by George Greene as president.

George Greene, (April 15, 1817 – June 23, 1880) was a lawyer, justice

of the Iowa Supreme Court, and one of the founders of Cedar Rap-

Proof Bond.

Iowa. 1889, $1000 Proof bond printed on india paper,

Black with green border and undertint, Locomotive at station on

left, ornate title and borders, Red hand stamp for approval on low-

er left, POC’s, VF to XF condition which is superb for proof bonds.

Franklin BNC. Extremely rare as a proof and unique as an approval

proof. Rarely found this nice and so attractive. ����������������� Est.
