York, 18xx (ca. 1830-40), Multi-denominations, 8 x 3.25 inches, uni-
face, black with no underprint, Seated allegorical women with sail-
ing ships in background, small eagles on bottom, Washington coun-
terfoil on right, two cameo heads on left and numerical medallions
on note. Small numbers are on each design element, evidently as a
reference for a description or for identifying vignettes wanted on
banknotes, Printed by J.Clark and engraving by H.C. Foote. Choice
Fine to VF condition. First time seen by cataloger. (ex. Auction #90,
R.M. Smythe, NY Grand Sale 1990, Lot 1920) ............

Philadelphia, ND (ca.1910-1930), Lot of 5 different color pages with
same design of Liberty facing left similar to the design of the
Morgan Silver Dollars, Colors include light blue, brown, olive green,
orange-red and black-brown. All with small hole on left margin
where they were previously bound in a book. Mostly XF to AU con-
dition. Attractive and scarce color sample pages. SBNC.

22 pages, all with the same design but different colors, Printed in Spanish and English, ornate cycloid design with classical profile of person with helmet fac-
ing right, Uncirculated condition. Rare and first time seen by cataloger. Discovered in a small Hong Kong coin dealers inventory and possibly the first time this
