Richmond, Virginia, Autographed

financial document for Payment of coupons from Orange & Alexandria

RR Co. for $3400 in Coupons. He participated in battles at Front Royal;

Winchester; Harrisonburg, 2nd Bull Run; Antietam; Led Maryland

Calvary under wade Hampton and many others, in 1864 he became

commandant of Prisons at Salisbury, N.C.. Scarce Confederate signature.

1864 dated letter discussing cotton

transactions, signed by him. Fine with foxing. George Alfred Trenholm

(February 25, 1807 – December 9, 1876) was a prominent politician

in the Confederate States of America and served as the Secretary of

the Treasury during the final year of the American Civil War. Was

imprisoned for a short time after the war.������������������������������������Est.

1862), $2, T-38, Issued banknote, Judah P. Benjamin portrait at top left,

allegorical vignette of the South striking down the north, S/N 1606 pp

1, PMG graded Very Fine 20 with note of small holes, one in middle and

the second on the lower right corner. 3 large margins with the bottom

cut close, rare note in Very Fine with a similar appearing example selling

for close to $2000 at Heritage in 2013. �������������������������������������Est.
