The main picture depicts the main gate in the city wall with the name “Pianguan” on top. Text on top means “temporary circulation note”, and the text on two sides means “Bureau of Finances of Pianguan County”. The text on bottom means “May of 1939”, and reads from left to right, which is rare for a note printed in that era. The seals are of the chair and office head of the bureau. 山西省偏關縣財政局於1939年5月發行之臨時通行 券壹圓。正面主景為縣城城墻與主城門，上方文字為“臨時通行券”，左右 為“偏關縣財政局”，下方文字為“民國二十八年五月”，書寫順序由左至 右，在民國幣中罕見。印章為局長與主任之印。 ������������������������������������������� Est. $65-120
