These notes are similar to Wait 249(John Gelpath). The signatures are probably spurious. Lot of 3 Notes, Includes $1 & $11, 1812-1841, Wait 324, Haxby NJ-65C10, R-6. In 1865, it became The National State Bank. The $1 note is a contemporary counterfeit of Haxby NJ-65-G-10. It has the NJ State Arms as a central vignette. This lot has 3 checks pertaining to this bank, which was incorporated in 1812 with one issued to Ebenezer Whitney for $11.00 on May 6, 1814.��������������������������� Est. $80-160 441 441 State Bank at Camden. 1820’s. Quartet of Obsolete Notes. Camden, NJ. $5 & $10, 1820’s, Wait 342, 349, & 351, R-7. Four Pieces(two $5 and two $10) on the State Bank at Camden near Philadelphia. The two $5 notes are both Wait #342, a contemporary counterfeit, printed in black, with the NJ State Arms central vignette. The $10 Wait 349 is printed in black with a cherubs vignette. The $10 Wait 351, another contemporary counterfeit, is printed in black, with a NJ State Arms vignette(not the same as Wait 342). The State Bank at Camden was incorporated in 1812, and became the National State Bank in 1865. ����������������������������������������������������������������������������� Est. $75-120 442 442 State Bank at Camden. 1862. Obsolete Note. Camden, NJ. $3, Jan. 2, 1862, Wait 335, R-5. VG-Fine, The State Bank at Camden was one of the pillars of early banking in New Jersey. Formed in 1812, it received a National charter in 1865, eventually becoming the First Camden National Bank & Trust. This is a spurious note similar to Wait #332, with a Leney & Rollinson imprint. This note has the Fairman, Draper Underwood & Co. imprint, and is dated January 2, 1862. The 5c note has a dog and safe vignette, and is dated Dec.13, 1862. The 10 cent note has an eagle and shield vignette, and is issued by Scull and the State Bank at Camden. Pair of Obsolete Scrip Notes. Cedarville, NJ. Lot of 2 notes, Includes 6 1/4 cents & $2, 1830’s, Wait 387 & 390, R-6. Lot of 2 notes, both unissued remainders, printed in black. Both AU to Uncirculated, The Cedarville Button Factory issued scrip in the 1830s. Cedarville is in Cumberland County. Both notes state that they are redeemable ‘at our Office in Bank Notes current in the City of Philadelphia’. The 6 1/4c note has three small maiden vignettes, one in the center and one at each end. The $2 note has a maiden and sailing ship vignette in the center, a small sailing ship vignette at the left, and a small Washington portrait at the right.������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ Est. $120-200
