Senate stationary to Senator Jim Sasser regarding his request for Reagan’s autograph, a letter on White House stationary to Senator Sasser from the President’s Deputy Assistant, and a yellow Post-It instructing the President as to how the vignette should be signed. Also included is the BEP Presidential engraved portrait of President Ronald Reagan with a hand signed signature below his portrait. Possibly unique in this format. Air Mail, Newspaper photograph of Jimmy Doolittle pasted to left aside of cover with circular hand stamp cachet on left with Doolittle’s signature vertically in it. James Harold Doolittle was an American General and aviation pioneer. Doolittle served as a flying instructor in World War I, and later became lieutenant general during World War II, where he also earned the Medal of Honor for his leadership and command of the Doolittle Raid. He was the first American to be awarded both the Medal of Honor and the Medal of Freedom. Doolittle helped create the Air Force Association and served as its first president, and was the last chairman of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) before it was superseded by NASA. Jimmy Doolittle is remembered to this day in both the National Aviation Hall of Fame as well as the International Air & Space Hall of Fame in San Diego.����������� Est. $100-200 Texas 480 480 Eddie Rickenbacker 1930 Autographed Air Mail First flight Cover. Continental Route First Flight El Paso, Texas, Route 33 - Air Mail P.O.D., Newspaper photograph of Rickenbacker in front of German plane they brought down without crashing with his signature partially overlapping photo, Edward Vernon Rickenbacker was an American fighter ace in World War I and a Medal of Honor recipient. With 26 aerial victories, he was America’s most successful fighter ace, and was also considered to have received the most awards for valor by an American during the First World War. In World War II, Rickenbacker received the Medal for Merit, a decoration for civilians in service, for his outreach and support of American troops, in addition to his fact-finding mission to the USSR. A 2-page printed open letter by construction engineer Francis Fortune to the directors of the London and Birmingham Railroad, 1832, containing Francis Fortune proposal for linking parts of England by rail, stating that he can build a railroad communicating with the three seaports in the West, North Seas and British Channel.
