Proof Street Car Ticket Used as Scrip Note. Bahia, Brazil. Proof with two subjects, 57 x 35mm each, gray, featuring horse drawn streetcar on one, and tower on the other subject, mounted on card. Includes engraved complete front of ticket in black with horse drawn street car with additional elements glued to the front of it as well as an original pencil sketch inside an engraved border in the middle of the card and a similar partially engraved building on the upper left of the card. Many annotations including “Engraving Dep’t, Approved, Apr 15”, “1882”, “American Bank Note Col., SMILLIE.” as well as various notes pertaining to design approval and changes.
