ND, ca.1980-90’s, Lot of 5 polymer sample notes with different security elements added. All are 100 Denomination notes with oil platform on front and back with oil wagon being pulled by horses and silver Pegasus on right front, all have security elements including Vertical stripes with clear windows in various tints or watermarks of Triangle with 100 denomination and diagonal lines, all on the counterfoil excess margins. All are in Choice to Gem Uncirculated condition. Scarce and attractive. These notes are samples from a project from Mobil Oil testing hydrocarbon polymer paper for printing banknotes. Notes from Canada, Great Britain, U.S., Venezuela and other countries were experimentally printed from these tests but it was disbanded once Mobil merged with Exxon in 1999. ���������������������������������������������������������������������������������� Est. $400-800 94 94 DuraNote Polymer Paper “Experimental Design’ Trio, ca.1985- 1994. U.S. & Canada, uncut Horizontal strip of 3 similar notes in various colors, all with same design of John Everett Millais, 1829-1896 on right of each note, all are intaglio printed, left note brown, right note black with light brown underprint with middle note both black and brown, the back all with litho printed in gray the same design as the face.
