Each card has portraits of American figures, including: Chirstopher Columbus, a Native American Chief, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and George Friedrich Handel (composer who was chosen to symbolize the expositions themes of water, architecture, and music). Cards are in AU to UNC condition. (6). The engraving used for the stamp was done in 1860 for the National Bank Note Co. The ten cent issue of 1890 bears same portrait. It is part of the last series of definitive postage stamps prepared by the ABNC for the post office.
