Century of Progress Exposition, 1¢ Green, Farley Imperforate and Ungummed Sheet of 9 Souvenir Sheets Chicago, Illinois. 1933. Uncut, ungummed, and imperforate sheet consisting of 9 examples of the 1 Cent green “Century of Progress” Souvenir sheet of 25 stamps. The paper has slight toning from storage, otherwise it would be Uncirculated with minimal handling or other issues. An impressive and highly collectible Farley issue imperforate and ungummed full sheet of the 1¢ green Century of Progress Exposition stamp, printed in Washinton, D.C. and distributed in Chicago in August 1933. This sheet was produced under the authority of Postmaster General James A. Farley and distributed privately outside normal postal channels, lacking both perforations and gum as issued. The sheet displays the complete original layout with wide margins, full selvage, and repeated inscriptions reading “Under Authority of James A. Farley, Postmaster General at a Century of Progress,” along with plate information at the bottom of each pane. Printed on distinctive paper, as typical of Farley special printings, this example represents one of the most iconic and widely collected U.S. souvenir sheets of the 1930s.
