British Armed Forces Special Voucher, 3 Pence denomination, First Series, with the scarce “NAAFI Canteens” overprint. Printed by Thomas De La Rue (TDLR). Front design in purple-brown with ornate guilloches, denomination counters in all four corners, and central “3d” panel; back in similar color scheme with repeating geometric patterns. Issued by command of the Army Council for use exclusively within military canteens operated by the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI) during the immediate post-WWII occupation period. PMG-graded 30 Very Fine. Extremely rare B.A.F. Scrip notes with only 3 total, including this example having been previously graded in the PMG census.
