Orville Wright, along with his brother Wilbur Wright, is credited with inventing, building, and flying the world’s first successful airplane. Their groundbreaking flight took place on December 17, 1903, near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Orville piloted the first successful flight, which lasted 12 seconds and covered 120 feet. He ran it until 1897, and remained its largest shareholder. The certificate was issued to a co-founder W.G. Warden, and is signed by him on the left margin. Henry Morrison Flagler ( January 2, 1830 - May 20, 1913) was an American industrialist and a founder of Standard Oil, which was first based in Ohio. He was also a key figure in the development of the Atlantic coast of Florida and founder of the Florida East Coast Railway, much of which he built through convict leasing.
