Marie Railway, or “Soo Line,” was founded in 1888 to connect the Midwest with Canada, mainly transporting grain and lumber. It became a key regional freight carrier and was later acquired by the Canadian Pacific Railway in the 1960s, eventually merging with it in the early 1990s. The 1921, $1000 Equipment bond is an unlisted earlier date and type in Cox, the other 2 Series B bonds are only known as specimens, no issued examples known.
