Territory, ND (ca. 1887), Uncut Tete Beche pair, 5 cts -5 cts, P-Unlisted,
Blue with no underprint, each note of the uncut pair measures 1.25 by
1.75 inches, Company initials on top with denomination in middle with
text on bottom “Merchandise at Retail”. Choice AU Condition. This is
the only uncut pair in this Tete Beche format found on this sheet and one
of only 3 uncut pairs in any format that were present on the sheet. The
Puget Sound Co-operative Colony was a Utopian collective established
at Portland in May 1887 and moved to the mouth of Ennis Creek, Port
Angeles, Washington Territory in June of that year. Desirable and unique
fractional scrip note pair of this rareWestern Territorial banknote. “West

(ca. 1887), 25 Cents, P-Unlisted, Blue with gold underprint of the
denomination “TWENTY FIVE CENTS”, a pair of small quail to the
left of the denomination, , partially issued and signed by Treasurer
“Nellie Wood” with denominations in diamonds on the top left and right
corners, measures 3.75 by 2.25 inches, Title in ornate letters on top,
Choice XF to AU Condition due to handling issues, large borders on the
bottom and left side of the note. The Puget Sound Co-operative Colony
was a Utopian collective established at Portland in May 1887 and moved
to the mouth of Ennis Creek, Port Angeles, Washington Territory in
June of that year. Another fractional scrip note example of this rare
Western Territorial banknote and the first time offered as a single note in
