stamp has fallen off on the left. XF condition. Signed by Thomas
Morris Perot as treasurer. He is the grandson of Elliston Perot, a
noted Philadelphia merchant, and a descendant of Anthony Morris.
He early entered the retail drug business and graduated at the
Philadelphia college of pharmacy. In 1850, he established himself
in business as a wholesale druggist and manufacturing chemist.
He is widely known for his philanthropic works. In 1861 he was the
president of the Mercantile library company. Mr.Perot also bore an
active part in founding theWoman’s medical college in Philadelphia.
