Arizona (Territory), 18xx, (ca.1870-80’s), Lot of 2 notes, both Unis-

sued and uncancelled, Includes $10, Unlisted, Black with no under-

print on white paper, No serial number; and, $20, Unlisted, Blue with

no underprint on white paper, S/N 461, both have “Arizona” on left

and text “_______ Dollars in Mexican Silver for safe Keeping, Return-

able to bearer on demand and surrender of this receipt”, Both are in

Uncirculated to CU condition with counterfoils folded over. Rare Ar-

izona Territory scrip notes that are under appreciated. A.L.Bancroft,

San Francisco, California, 18xx (originally printed

in 1840-50’s, this note is ca.1960-70’s), 75 cents Payable inGold Dust,

Unlisted in Haxby, Modern “Proprietary Proof”. Standing woman

pouring beverage into cup on left, George Washington at center,

“Will pay 75 cents on demand to the bearer in gold dust”, Black

printing without underprint, printed on thin white card cut down to

banknote size, PMG graded Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ, extremely

rare note that is missing from most collections, even though it is an

official archival reprint, this is about as close as any collector will ever

come to owning the real thing, Gavit &Co., Albany. (ABNCommem-
