of an extremely rare and attractive note that is not listed in the SCWPM. The text has a blank space for the interest amount. Red specimen overprint,
POC and “00000” serial numbers. Black with green undertint. Vignette of allegorical woman with staff, seated lion and steamship. Back has denomi-
nation in green. Archival hand stamped date of “Oct 1899” on top left of back margin. Note would have beenCU but there is a small indentation where
the note had been paper clipped to something in the past, otherwise a beautiful and dramatic design on this rare note. ABNC. ������������������ Est.
